Meet the Panelists:
Vanessa Alvarez
Vanessa Alvarez is a technology professional, with over 15 years’ experience in emerging technologies spanning enterprise datacenter infrastructure and cloud computing. She spent time at several startups in Silicon Valley, as well as AWS. She’s currently a Sr Product Marketing Manager on the Azure Infrastructure team at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington.
Alvarez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Rhode Island College and is fluent in Spanish. She is also the co-founder of NEXME, Inc, a real estate marketplace platform. She can be found on Twitter @vanessalvarez1
Jeff Barr
Jeff joined Amazon in 2002, became the company’s first web services evangelist in 2003, founded the AWS News Blog in 2004, and now serves as the AWS’s Chief Evangelist. He has written over 3000 posts for the blog, maintains an active social media presence, and also records weekly AWS update videos.
Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Communication and Digital Media. Earlier in his career Jeff held positions at Microsoft, KnowNow, eByz, and Akopia, and was a co-founder of Visix Software.
In addition to writing over 1.5 million words for the AWS Blog, Jeff wrote Host YourWebsite in the Cloud in 2010, and has served as technical reviewer for four books on webservices. Jeff can be found on Twitter @jeffbarr
Ezhilarasan Natarajan
Ezhilarasan Natarajan aka Ez (pronounced “easy”) is the CEO of Corestack, an entrepreneur, and an accomplished technology executive with 20+ years of experience in the industry. Ez has been part of building multiple hyper scale cloud platforms in the last decade, including one of the leading hospitality SaaS management platform for the travel world, and has been integral part of building Azure from its infancy stages. Ez had the vision to build a Multi Cloud Governance Platform that could accelerate Enterprises adoption of Cloud technologies, and his deep understanding of enterprise needs hyper-scale cloud systems were instrumental in building CoreStack as a Cloud Governance Platform.
Ez has worked for Nokia Networks, Texas Instruments, JDA, Mindtree and Capgemini group prior to his Entrepreneurship journey. Mr. Natarajan earned his Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering from India and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from US.
Joe Beda
Joe Beda is a Principal Engineer at VMware. Joe arrived at VMware via the acquisition of Heptio, a leader in the cloud native movement and a company that he co-founded. Previously, at Google, Joe co-created Google Compute Engine and filed the first ever Kubernetes project commit. He remains a frequent contributor to the open source community.
