Binu & Meghana grew up in India with a notable passion for engineering & a deeply rooted calling to question the status quo.

They are trailblazers with a reputation for driving transformational change where it is needed. With over 30 years combined industry experience, Binu & Meghana have a laser-focused vision to revolutionize the stagnant real estate industry by bringing agile workspaces to technology enterprises around the globe.

Founded as a product development company based out of their home,
Meghana & Binu knew they needed to secure an office space to hold client meetings & grow extraSlice. With careers at tech giants Microsoft, Amazon & IBM, they were accustomed to working in a space designed to maximize efficiency around tech businesses – however they quickly found that nothing close to this existed for startups in need of flexible space. The options available were:

The process of finding a space proved to be arduous & after years of research Binu & Meghana realized agile tech workspace just didn’t exist. So, they created it. 

Designed as a startup catalyst, they self-funded the first four thousand square foot space & separated it into private suites.

The 1st suite was for extraSlice, the 2nd for Meghana who established a training school for females who were new to the U.S. & were struggling to navigate the complex path to employment. During this time, she helped hundreds of women gain their confidence & secure jobs in tech companies – just as she had done so many years before. The balance of the suites filled with companies who were in desperate need of private, flexible workspaces. Over several years, they saw some industries come & stay while others moved on & the demand for more space grow exponentially.

They honed their niche to tech & it was time to scale.

To grow the brand footprint, they met with dozens of landlords in
an attempt to secure long term leases, however they all insisted on their tenants providing substantial business credit history & a track record of managing real estate. So, despite the great success they had proven in their smaller space, the majority just didn’t get the vision & weren’t willing to take a risk. Then one fateful day, they were touring yet another potential space & met Larry Benaroya.  

Everything clicked. 

Larry, Principal of the Benaroya Company, personally helped to shape the character of the Seattle region through his development of over 20 million square feet of commercial real estate. He immediately believed in the vision & understood the necessity of the extraSlice solution and with his help, Binu & Meghana successfully helped Landlords, Commercial Brokers & enterprise clients see that a revolution is not only needed, it is well underway.
